Colonized Grain Spawn
Mushroom grain spawn from our lab. Grain is sterilized to 212C and 17PSI and all strains have been trialed and are in steady production at our farm. Small orders are typically available to ship next-day, for larger commercial or standing orders please email to discuss pricing and shipping options. Spawn bag weight is ~6lbs.
All spawn ships with a specifications sheet including suggested growing conditions and all varieties are suitable for indoor cultivation.
Strain summary:
King Blue Oyster - Our favorite blue! Thicker caps and deeper blue color, the king blue is a prolific producer and a steady producer. Vigorous mycelium, this strain resists contamination and produces a decent second flush.
Italian Oyster - Also known as the phoenix oyster, it has wavy brown caps, short stems, and a lovely nutty flavor.
Lion’s Mane - Of the hericium we have trialed, this strain produces the largest, whitest fruitbodies with short to medium teeth. Produces solid second flushes of high quality. Quick to colonize and fruit, it prefers a colder room but performs at temperatures into the 70s.
Shiitake - An indoor variety, grows tender and relatively small caps. Heavy yielder, prefers blocks with less supplementation.
Black Pearl - Fantastic clustering trumpet, another mainstay of our production. Mushrooms range in color from tan to dark blue, produces heavy clusters reliably.
Golden Enoki - Stellar Asian mushroom. Springy stems and slightly moist bright orange caps, slow-moving but vigorous and reliable producer of heavy yields. Specialty mushroom with unique sweet/acidic flavor that jumps at market.
Maitake - The only strain we have ever had success with, very particular about timing and conditions and has a superb flavor. Slow-moving, stalls easily but worth cultivating.
